The Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Her Excellency Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, on behalf of Governor Uba Sani, CON, has commended the Honourable Minister of Defence, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, for his exemplary leadership and commitment to national service.
Dr. Balarabe represented the Governor at the Atyab Buffet organised in honour of the Defence Minister, where she delivered a message highlighting General Musa’s leadership as one built on character, courage, conscience, and inclusiveness. Governor Uba Sani described leadership as a product of consistent dedication and service, rather than chance.
According to the Governor, three defining values—preparation, principle, and patriotism—have shaped General Musa’s distinguished career. He noted that preparation ensured readiness long before the call to serve, principle provided steadiness in difficult moments, and patriotism placed national interest above personal comfort. He added that Kaduna State takes great pride in General Musa for bringing honour and distinction to the state.
In his remarks, General Christopher Gwabin Musa applauded Governor Uba Sani for his sustained peace-building efforts across Kaduna State. He urged citizens to support government initiatives, stressing that lasting peace requires collective responsibility and cooperation from all segments of society.
The Defence Minister cautioned against bitterness, describing it as harmful to unity, and advocated forgiveness as a vital path to reconciliation. He encouraged the people to focus on shared values and common interests rather than divisions that undermine peace.
Also speaking at the event, the Paramount Chief of Zangon Kataf Chiefdom, Sir Dominic Yahaya Gambo, offered prayers for enduring peace in the chiefdom. He further announced plans to confer traditional titles on notable sons and daughters of the chiefdom, alongside other distinguished individuals, in recognition of their contributions to society.
The event underscored the shared commitment of political, traditional, and security leaders to peace, unity, and national development.
