Kano MAN Hails Dangote Refinery for Reviving Struggling Companies

The Kano-Jigawa branch of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) has praised the Dangote Refinery and Petrochemicals for helping to revive struggling industries in the country.

Speaking during the ongoing MAN Annual Products Exhibition at Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano, the branch chairman, Muhammad Bello Isyaku Umar, said the refinery’s intervention in reducing diesel prices and ensuring steady supply of petroleum products has given manufacturers much-needed relief from rising energy costs.

He noted that many “dying companies are coming back to life” as a result, with reduced production expenses, stable operations, and sustained jobs. He added that affordable diesel is especially crucial for small and medium industries that rely on generators due to poor or unavailable electricity supply.

Umar described the Dangote Refinery as a game-changer, saying it is not only easing the burden on existing firms but also laying a solid foundation for future industrial growth. He confirmed that MAN is already exploring areas of partnership with the refinery to further boost energy supply and strengthen local industries.

The chairman also commended the Dangote Group for its consistency in supporting MAN exhibitions over the years, noting that “no trade fair or exhibition is complete without Dangote products,” which he described as affordable, qualitative, and dependable.

At the event, Dangote Group showcased products including cement, sugar, salt, seasoning, and fertilizer. Participants also highlighted the company’s role in job creation, infrastructure development, tax contributions, and Corporate Social Responsibility.

This year’s exhibition is themed: “Made in Nigeria: Revitalizing Local Industries for Economic Growth.”
