Kebbi Governor commends lawmaker’s efforts in development

The Governor of Kebbi state, Sen Atiku Bagudu has commended efforts of the State Assembly in developing the state.
According to him, the efforts include speedy passage of bills for the development of the state especially those on the provision of basic amenities to the people.
The governor equally expressed satisfaction with the working relationship between the executive, legislative and the judiciary. Sen Bagudu who disclosed this on Sunday shortly after Ramadan Breakfast (Iftar) revealed that the harmonious relationship has facilitated peace coexistence and development of the state.
The Governor hosted various top government functionaries, including Speaker of the State House of Assembly, the Chief Judge, leaders of security agencies and APC stalwarts to the Sunday’s Iftar at the Government House.
Bagudu was also appreciative of the efforts of various security agencies in the state in the maintenance of peace, security in the society.
He commiserated with police and the army on the recent killing of soldiers and police in Zuru Emirate. He described the officers as gallant and officers who made the supreme sacrifice in the service of the nation.
He acknowledged that the preceding year was full of challenging brought about by COVID-19 pandemic which by GOD’s grace has been brought under control through observance of COVID protocols and vaccination.
According to a statement by Chief Press Secretary (CPS) Government House, Abubakar Mu’azu Dakingari, the Deputy-Governor Colonel Sama’ila Yombe Dabai (rtd), former Deputy Governor of the State and Chief of Staff Government House, Secretary to the State Government as well as the acting Head of Service were also present at the Iftar.
The State’s Commissioner for Works and Transport Alhaji Abubakar Ladan in an interview afterward, thanked the Governor for hosting them, affirming their loyalty to the administration, and called on the people of the State to sustain prayer for peace, Allah’s guidance, and protection to the nation and the populace.
