Liverpool star Fabinho’s father passes away
Liverpool star Fabinho was on Friday left devastated after his father passed away.
The Midfielder’s wife Rebeca Tavares confirmed the news on social media.
She took to social media on Friday morning to share with her 174,000 followers, that Fabinho’s father, Joao Roberto, had died.

Tavares thanked God for having the privilege of knowing him and promised to take care of his son in a touching tribute.
She also shared an image of Fabinho’s dad during a ceremony on Instagram and wrote: “Father-in-law, you will always be remembered with that smile and passion for the things of the kingdom.
“I thank God for the privilege of having known you. Your grandchildren will know the amazing grandfather they had. I love you, father-in-law! Ah, I will take good care of your son. RIP”.
She further confirmed the news on Twitter, by saying: “For those who are asking on Instagram. Fabinho’s father has passed. He will be missed”.
On his part, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp responded to the news saying, “It’s a private situation. Fab is here and doing what he’s able to do.
“We all feel for him and with him. We try to give him all the love and all the warmth we have,” Klopp said.
Other supporters were quick to send their best wishes to the Liverpool star and his family following the announcement.
A fan among other fans wrote, “So sorry to hear this. He raised an incredible son, so he must have been a wonderful human being. May he Rest in Peace”.
As a result of the news, the Brazilian midfielder will most likely miss this weekend’s game against Burnley due to compassionate leave.
