The Miss Nigeria Organisation has paid a courtesy visit to Edo State as preparations intensify for a nationwide travelogue ahead of the emergence of the 46th Miss Nigeria.
The delegation, led by the organisation’s Board Chairman, was received by the Edo State Governor alongside senior government officials and entertainment personalities connected to the initiative.
Among members of the visiting team were Mercy Johnson-Okojie, who currently serves as Special Adviser to the Edo State Governor on Public Engagement and Advocacy; the Director-General of the Edo State Tourism Agency, Lady Vivian Elabor; and the reigning 45th Miss Nigeria, Doris Ogah.
According to organisers, the nationwide travel initiative will begin in Edo State, the home state of the current Miss Nigeria queen, before extending to other parts of the country.
The travelogue is expected to showcase Nigeria’s culture, tourism, creativity, and local communities while promoting national unity and youth empowerment.
The initiative also aligns with the Edo State Government’s tourism and infrastructure development drive under Project SHINE, which focuses on cultural promotion, economic growth, and public engagement.
The Miss Nigeria Organisation expressed appreciation to the Edo State Government for the warm reception and reiterated its commitment to building partnerships that support Nigerian culture and the continued evolution of the Miss Nigeria brand.
Organisers say the upcoming travelogue is expected to generate conversations around tourism, entertainment, and national identity ahead of the next edition of the prestigious beauty pageant.
