According to the Nigeria Police Force in the FCT, the former immigration chief was discovered seated on a chair after a concerned friend, who had been unable to reach him, traced his location to the hotel.
Initial observations suggest Parradang may have suffered a heart attack or died from exhaustion, though authorities say there is no official confirmation yet. Police stressed that the exact cause of death can only be determined after a medical autopsy is conducted.
Investigators also clarified that there is currently no evidence indicating that Parradang had any sexual encounter with a woman who reportedly visited his hotel room earlier. Records from the hotel show that the woman left the premises at about 4 p.m. the same day.
The woman has since been declared wanted by the police and is expected to provide further information regarding her last interaction with the late former immigration boss.
Authorities say the outcome of the autopsy will be critical in establishing the true circumstances surrounding Parradang’s death as investigations continue.
