NAF Launches Search, Rescue Operation After ATR-42 Aircraft Accident in Ondo
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has activated an immediate Search and Rescue operation following an ATR-42 aircraft accident in the Igbokoda area of Ondo State.
The accident occurred on October 5, 2026, while the aircraft was reportedly on a routine mission from Benin to Lagos.
The NAF said its Search and Rescue teams, in coordination with relevant authorities and emergency response agencies, are currently conducting operations in the affected area.
The Air Force said it remains committed to ensuring the success of the ongoing Search and Rescue efforts.
The NAF added that further details on the incident would be communicated to the public as they become available.
