National Grid Collapse: Power Restored in Parts of Abuja After Overnight Blackout

Power has been restored in some areas within the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) franchise following the outage experienced on Monday evening.
A check by our correspondent confirmed that areas such as Deidei, Suleja, Lugbe, and Kuje had their electricity back by Tuesday at around 5:15 am.
The outage was attributed to the collapse of the National grid, which occurred at 6:58 pm on Monday.
In a statement shared on its official Twitter handle, AEDC reassured customers: “Be rest assured that we are working with relevant stakeholders to restore power as soon the grid stabilises.”
