“The 1st Northern Youth Conference and Exhibition on Artificial Intelligence will take place as scheduled in the three regions of northern Nigeria, commencing from North Central in Minna on Monday 4th and Tuesday 5th December 2023, Katsina North West on Monday 11th and Tuesday 12th December 2023, and finally North East in Maiduguri Borno State on Monday 18th and Tuesday 19th December 2023.

“The conference brings together stakeholders, regulators, policymakers, fintech, mobile payment systems, governments, innovators, technology solution providers, social impact enterprises, banks, telecommunications firms, researchers, development finance institutions, non-governmental organisations, entrepreneurs, start-ups, investors, philanthropists, etc. seeking to promote deep knowledge on artificial intelligence.

He said conferences offer stakeholders premium opportunities to speak, sponsor, partner, collaborate, exhibit, present, and network through various custom-curated experiences and branding opportunities.

“For the first time, the number of participants that have shown interest in the conference on artificial intelligence is really unprecedented, as as of yesterday, over four thousand (4000) participants registered with the organisation portal willing to participate in the conference, as against the target of only 900 participants across the three regions.

“Even if the cost of the conference is going to be higher than the budgetary provisions, it will raise the morale of the northern youth, said Engr. Alkali.

“I want to comment on the efforts of the Hon. Commissioner of Communication and Digital Economy, Hon. Suleiman Isa, and the Niger State Government for their support because the conference is starting in their state.

Alkali said that the forthcoming ceremony is beyond the conference, adding that the organisation is willing to partner with the state governments and the Digital Transformation Agenda to establish artificial intelligence hubs in each state, which will serve as incubation, innovation, and collaboration centres for digital enthusiasts.
