The Nigeria International Energy Summit (NIES) 2026 officially commenced in Abuja, setting a powerful tone for Africa’s energy future under the theme “Energy for Peace and Prosperity: Securing Our Shared Future.”
Day one of the summit featured high-level discussions focused on local content development, regional energy integration, and policy diplomacy. Key sessions explored pathways to building African industrial powerhouses and examined strategic projects such as the Nigeria–Morocco Gas Pipeline, highlighting the continent’s growing push toward energy-driven economic transformation.
The summit brought together major stakeholders from the Ministry of Petroleum Resources, NMDPRA, NUPRC, NNPC Limited, NCDMB, as well as global energy companies including ExxonMobil, TotalEnergies and Schlumberger Limited, alongside indigenous operators, creating a robust platform for collaboration and knowledge exchange.
NNPC Limited, the National Sponsor of NIES 2026, showcased its integrated operations at its pavilion located at Stand B17. Through interactive engagements, visitors connected with teams from NNPC Retail Limited, NNPC Foundation, NipeX, and NNPC Medical Services Limited, exploring opportunities in retail services, sustainable community impact, supply chain partnerships, and healthcare delivery.
In addition, NNPC Limited team members moderated key workshop sessions, helping to shape meaningful conversations on Nigeria’s energy future and sector-wide innovation.
As activities continue at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, Abuja, NNPC Limited reaffirmed its commitment to driving collaboration and innovation across the energy value chain, inviting participants and stakeholders to visit its pavilion at Stand B17 to learn more and explore partnership opportunities.
