In a ceremonious event held at the Headquarters of NACOLM on December 6, 2023, the Commandant of the Nigerian Army College of Logistics and Management (NACOLM), Brigadier General Wisdom Etuk, adorned eight recently promoted senior officers with their new ranks.
The investiture ceremony, a symbol of recognition and advancement, witnessed the presence of staff officers, families, well-wishers, and distinguished guests.

During the ceremony, General Etuk underscored the paramount importance of loyalty, a cherished core value within the Armed Forces of Nigeria. He emphasised that loyalty is a non-negotiable attribute for military personnel, urging the newly decorated officers not to compromise this fundamental principle.
Congratulating the promoted officers, General Etuk urged them to redouble their efforts to validate the trust reposed in them by the Nigerian Army. He acknowledged the seemingly simple yet profoundly symbolic nature of the investiture, highlighting the associated responsibilities that come with elevation to higher ranks.
Addressing the officers, General Etuk called for a reevaluation of their social values, emphasising the significance of integrity, loyalty, and empathy in their roles. He stressed that “this promotion signifies increased tasks and responsibilities, so you must rise to the occasion whenever you are called upon.”
The Commandant concluded his remarks by reminding the senior officers of the importance of commitment to service and the responsibility of caring for their families. He sought continuous support from the families of the beneficiaries, stating, “To whom much is given, much is expected.” General Etuk expressed his gratitude to the Chief of Army Staff for unwavering support and recognizing the officers’ merit for promotion.
Highlights of the event included the presentation and investiture of the beneficiaries, words of advice from distinguished Directors and Chief Instructors, refreshments, a vote of thanks, and a group photograph to commemorate the occasion.
Present at the event were the Deputy Commandant/Director of Studies, Brigadier General JIB Manjang, Director of Administration, Brigadier General OJ Majebi, and various Faculty and Administrative Staff of the College, alongside other invited guests.
Major George Okupe, the College Public Relations Officer, provided a recap of the event, highlighting the significance of the investiture and the continued commitment of the Nigerian Army College of Logistics and Management to excellence.
