The Director-General of the Nigerian Tourism Development Authority (NTDA), Dr. Olayiwola Awakan participated in the Nigerian MSMEs Stakeholders Meeting held at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, where Vice President Kashim Shettima received the 2025–2026 MSME Report.

The meeting brought together key government officials and industry stakeholders to deliberate on strategies for strengthening support for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) across the country.
Discussions underscored the critical role of MSMEs in driving economic growth, generating employment, and reducing poverty. Participants emphasized the need for enhanced collaboration, innovation, and the adoption of technology to empower young Nigerians and promote sustainable development in key sectors, including tourism.
The engagement reaffirmed the government’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for MSMEs to thrive, while positioning sectors such as tourism as vital contributors to national development.
