NUJ to collaborate with military on information dissemination
The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kano State chapter has expressed its readiness to partner with the military and all other security agencies in the area of information dissemination.
The State Chairman of the Correspondents Chapel of the NUJ, Aminu Ahmad Garko, said this during a visit of members of the union to Brigade Commandant, Brigadier General Jamiu Olayinka Are.
While receiving members of the union in Kano, Are said the brigade sustained peace in Kano because of the efforts of the Joint Security Taskforce.
According to him, the Nigeria Army, Bukavor Barrack 3 Mechanized Brigade, recorded zero cases of banditry, kidnapping and criminality from non-State actors in Kano and its environs.

In his words, “In Kano, the synergy we have with other security agencies has yielded positive results and continues to make it easy for us to keep the state safer than ever before.”
He said the activities of security forces at Falgore Forest had effectively checked the influx of non-State Actors into Kano and its environs while travellers on the route were going about without any fear.
