OAU hosts West Africa University Games

In a determined effort to make sure that the next West Africa Universities Games (WAUG) is successful and hitch-free, the management of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, has put every machinery in motion to facelift its sporting facilities
A release made available to our Correspondent by the Public Relations Officer of the University, Abiodun Olarewaju, stated that the WAUG which starts on Friday, the 16th of December 2023 will have Universities from across West Africa sub-region competing for medals in sports like Tennis, Table Tennis, Basketball and Athletics.

The Honourable Minister of Interior, Hon. (Dr) Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, will be the special guest of honor for the opening and closing of the games.
The grand finale will be on Friday, the 22nd of December, 2023.
