Olowu of Owu-Kuta Kingdom extols OurNigeria News Magazine

The Olowu of Owu-Kuta Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Oba (Dr) Hameed Adekunle Makama Oyelude (Tegbosun III), has hailed OurNigeria News Magazine on its initiative to unify Nigeria through its annual awards that honor illustrious Nigerian spread across the country.
The Olowu gave this commendation on Sunday in Abuja while receiving the Legendary Icon of the Year Award by OurNigeria News Magazine in its 2023 edition of the awards.
He said, “You have done something great. I attach importance to this award because you never asked for a dime. You told me that if you were selling the awards, it would not have gotten to Kuta. I appreciate this. What you have demonstrated is integrity personified.”
The royal father, who equates OurNigeria Award to national honor, said few days after last year’s edition, in which he was the Special Guest of Honour, some recipients got the federal government’s national honor, adding that he believed in oneness and united Nigeria.

The monarch said he valued the award which is why he asked the ranks and file within his reach to grace the occasion, stressing that he dedicates the award to peace-loving communities in Nigeria.
“The Director-General of the Department of Security Services (DSS) is here because I asked him to honor me. Also in my entourage are members of House of the Representatives and the State Assembly. This shows how important this award is to me and my entire kingdom.”
He assured OurNigeria News Magazine to redouble his effort not to disappoint the nation but to uphold the collective belief and oneness of Nigeria as a nation.
“I will double my efforts. I will not let the nation down and I will not let our collective belief in oneness or unity of our country. May God continue to bless our country and may God continue to bring peace. I use this medium to thank everybody that has come from very far and near.”
