Omokri accuses Ajaero of tribalizing NLC to support Peter Obi
Reno Omokri, a socio-political activist, has accused Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC, President Joe Ajaero of transforming the Congress into a tribal organization.
Omokri stated that Ajaero transformed the NLC into a union that backed the presidential ambitions of Labour Party, LP, candidate Peter Obi in 2023.
He asserted that Ajaero would destabilize any administration that was not led by Obi.
Tweeting, Omokri wrote: “Does it not constitute a conflict of interests to have as President of the Nigerian Labour Congress, a man like Joe Ajaero, who campaigned for and endorsed Peter Obi for President? Obviously, the man cannot be neutral.
“He will be interested in undermining any government not presided over by Peter Obi.

“He is an Obidient, and Nigerians should not be obedient to him. He is turning the NLC into a tribal parapo union in support of Peter Obi’s ambition.”
Omokri’s comments come after the NLC threatened to go on an extended strike over relief measures for fuel subsidy reduction.
Ajaero stated that the federal government had more than enough time to resolve the disagreement and satisfy the labour movement’s concerns, but chose not to do so.
