OSCOTECH Rector, Dr Adegoke receives award on youth, education development

The Yoruba Youth Assembly, YYA, under the umbrella body of the youth wing of Yoruba Socio-cultural organisation, has presented “Golden Leadership Excellence Award” to the Rector, Osun State College of Technology, OSCOTECH, Esa-Oke in Osun State, Dr. Samson Adegoke, described him as a man of great intellectual capacity.

During the presentation of the award at the Rector’s office, the President of the group, Hon Olarinde Thomas, described Dr Adegoke as a man with proven outstanding records of excellence, Distinguished Academic as well as outstanding Administrator.

“We are therefore celebrating this great Icon of Excellence today in appreciation of his immeasurable contributions towards the advancement of education and youth development in Nigeria; For his outstanding records of performance as a outstanding administrator and academic and his groundbreaking accomplishments as the Rector of Osun State College of Technology Esa Oke with remarkable success; For his unassumable performance in ensuring steady growth, students and staff welfare and the continuous transformation of Osun State College of Technology Esa Oke since assumption of office in 2018”.

The YYA said further that, Dr Adegoke deserves the award, “For running one of the most organised, coordinated, efficient and morally inclined academic programmes, crime free campus and uninterrupted academic programmes in Nigeria; For being a thorough breed Omoluabi and an outstanding role model whose vision in life, diligence, dedication, excellent human relations and content of good character has been a source of great inspiration to millions of Nigerian youth.

“It is on this note that we in Yoruba Youth Assembly own it as a duty on behalf of humanity to profoundly appreciate and celebrate our great and amiable Rector, Dr Samson Adegoke whose contributions to the economic growth, advancement of education and youth development in Nigeria over the years are not only unquantifiable, but are also unparalleled.

“Dr Samson Adegoke connotes different things to different people: To men and women of his generation, he is a pride; To the people of Ipetumodu, he is an illustrious son and a worthy ambassador; To the Nigerian youth, he is a reputable mentor and a role model; In academic circle, he is a leading light and a shinning star; To the people of Osun state, he is an asset; To the Yoruba people, he is a worthy Ambassador and Akoni Omoluabi; To humanity, he is a rare breed; and to others, he is a celebrity, a distinguished achiever and a trailblazer”.

The President of the group who said that, having the likes of Dr Adegoke among us will be a testimony that Nigeria can still be great added that the man Dr Adegoke is an administrative guru, a cerebral thinker, a human capital developer, a renown reformer and a humanitarian per excellence”.

Responding, the Rector OSCOTECH, Dr Adegoke who was highly elated appreciated the Yoruba Youth Assembly for finding him worthy to be honoured.

Dr Adegoke commended the organiser for their activities and urged them to remain steadfast and committed to whatever they do.
