Osun Amotekun Commander, Omoyele, becomes High Chief Onijegun of Ijegun land

All road leads to Iseyin town in Oyo State on Saturday as the Corps Commander of the Osun Amotekun Corps, Dr. Adekunle Isaac Omoyele, would be honored with the prestigious chieftaincy title of Onijegun of Ijegun land.

According to the statement made available to newsmen in Osogbo on Thursday, the title will be conferred upon him by the revered Aseyin of Iseyin, His Royal Majesty Oba Sefiu Olawale Oyebola Adeyeri III, on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at the Aseyin’s Palace in Iseyin, at 10:00 am prompt.

This honor is in recognition of Dr. Omoyele’s outstanding contributions to the development and progress of the community, particularly in his role as the leader of the Osun Amotekun Corps, where he has worked diligently to ensure safety, security, and the overall betterment of the society.

The event would be colorful with cultural significance and celebration, as Dr. Omoyele is installed as the Onijegun of Ijegun.

The ceremony will be accompanied by a musical performance by the renowned artist Sefiu Adekunle Alao, popularly known as Omo Oko, adding a festive atmosphere to the event.

The Aseyin of Iseyin, HRM Oba Sefiu Olawale Oyebola Adeyeri III, and other distinguished guests will be present to witness this moment of cultural and historical importance, marking a new chapter for both Dr. Omoyele and the community.
