The Palestinian historical drama Palestine 36, directed by renowned Palestinian filmmaker Annemarie Jacir, has won the Snow Leopard Special Jury Award at the 11th Asian World Film Festival (AWFF).

The film, which explores pivotal historical moments in Palestine, was praised for its powerful storytelling, authentic performances, and the director’s sensitive yet compelling approach to capturing the region’s complex history. Festival jurors highlighted Palestine 36 as a film that “brings historical narratives to life with artistry and emotional depth.”
