Paul Chukwuma Leads APC Guber Poll, Gets 80% Endorsement in Anambra
As the All Progressives Congress (APC) gears up for its gubernatorial primaries in Anambra State on April 5, 2025, a survey conducted by the Forum of APC Support Groups Leaders in collaboration with the Amalgamated APC Support Groups Think Tank has placed Sir Paul Chukwuma as the frontrunner.
The survey, unveiled in Abuja on Monday, March 31, by the Director-General of the Forum, Dr. AK Peters, assessed the strengths of four major aspirants, with Chukwuma emerging as the preferred choice.
According to the report, Chukwuma secured an overwhelming 80% likelihood of clinching the APC ticket and a 63% chance of winning the November 2025 governorship election. The findings were based on an extensive grassroots assessment across all 21 local government areas, covering 326 political wards and 177-181 towns in the state.
The survey examined key factors such as political structures, vision, competence, acceptability, loyalty to the party, philanthropy, and ability to connect with women and youth. The report described Chukwuma as the most viable candidate to challenge Governor Charles Soludo and lead Anambra out of its current challenges.
“We hereby appeal to all our party delegates and leaders to respect this painstaking, detailed, declarative, compelling, prophetic, and no-holds-barred report as the whole truth and nothing but the truth,” the statement read.
The Forum further asserted that its past surveys had accurately predicted electoral outcomes in states such as Osun, Edo, Ondo, Cross River, Kogi, Imo, Bayelsa, and Benue, as well as the leadership of the 10th National Assembly.
Dr. Peters called on APC members in Anambra to rally behind Chukwuma in the primaries, emphasizing that his leadership is crucial to reclaiming the state.
“As leaders of APC Support Groups, it behoves us to let the whole world and ndi Anambra know that it is only Paul Chukwuma that can wrestle Anambra from the evil forces that have stunted its growth,” the statement concluded.
