The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has extended congratulations in honor of former President Goodluck Jonathan’s 66th birthday.
The National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Mr. Debo Ologunagba, made this announcement in a statement in Abuja.
Ologunagba said that Jonathan would never fade as a global leader and national symbol of democracy.
As a true, selfless, modest, brave, and patriotic leader, Ologunagba characterized Jonathan.
As an outcome of the PDP, he stated that Jonathan stuck to his pledge to advance national prosperity, peace, unity, and stability.
“Nigerians across all divides celebrate President Jonathan for his unwavering commitment to upholding democracy tenets of the Rule of Law, Separation of Powers, constitutionally guaranteed freedom and rights of citizens, and the principles of justice, equity, and fairness.
“Dedication to free, fair, and credible election in Nigeria in line with the manifesto and policy thrust of the PDP; credentials that are indelible in our national annals,” he said.
According to Ologunagba, Jonathan was being honored for his work fostering an environment that encouraged free entrepreneurship and fortifying the ties that bind Nigerians together in a state of love, harmony, respect, and understanding.
He said that this made it possible for the country to prosper in every area while he was in charge.
He declared that Jonathan’s enormous economic production across all industries and his previously unheard-of accomplishments made the PDP proud.
“The PDP relishes the fact that in recognition of his democratic credentials, Jonathan continues to be saddled with foreign engagements including superintending over election observation and peace negotiation missions across the globe where he excels to the admiration of all.
“The PDP family celebrates Jonathan on this auspicious occasion and prays to God to grant him more wisdom, good health, and happiness in his service to our dear country and humanity,” he said.
