Senator Oyewumi Grades 250km of Rural Roads in Osun West, Boosts Agriculture and Economic Growth

In a major boost for agriculture and economic development, the Deputy Minority Leader of the Senator, Senator Lere Oyewumi, PhD, has completed the grading of rural roads in all 10 local governments of the Osun West Senatorial District.
According to Senator Oyewumi, the project which covered over 250 kilometers of roads, aims to improve accessibility for farmers, enhance the transportation of crops, and stimulate economic growth in the region.
“These roads were in a deplorable condition, making it difficult for our farmers to transport their produce to markets,” he stated.
Farmers, community leaders, and elders in the area expressed their appreciation for the senator’s efforts.
“This is a dream come true. Now we can get our crops to market faster and easier, which will increase our income and improve our livelihoods.
“Senator Oyewumi’s initiative will make a huge difference in our lives. We are grateful for his commitment to our well-being.”
They appreciated Senator Oyewumi’s efforts in sharing dividends of democracy among the constituents, while urging other political leaders in the state to emulate the Ikire-born Federal legislator’s leadership style of prioritizing the welfare and critical needs of all and sundry.
The beneficiary communities include: Ayedaade Local Government – Jekayinfa Junction, Elekiri Balogun Omo Ile Village, Oke Tanganran – Oke Ofa Onitanganran, Ejemu – Aba Oba Village, Budale Merinso Village, Oritawata – Bologun Village, Alaguntan – Alipanu Village, Farm Settlement (Site 1) Roads, Oke Odo, Idi Igbaru Iwo Road – Oke Owu, Oke Odo – Old Iwo Road (Orita Arifanla), Power Line 1 – Oke Owu, Power Line 2 – the main road.
Also in Isokan Local Government, From Oloro – Arinkinkin – Olumelo to Mowo, Oba Egbeda Oko – Agba Ogun Road and
Egbeda Oko – Okodowo Road.
In Irewole Local Government, Ayetoro Village to Arinkinkin Village, Ayetoro Village to Ita Merin to Onikan Village, Orile Owu through Molawusa to Odeyinka – Odesilo, Ori Olori Junction – Ajilo Village, and Iyana Olode Village – Alaye Village.
In Iwo Local Government, Oloba – Oloogun Village.
Ola-Oluwa Local Government, Asamu – Lafa Village, Lau Village – Lemomun Village, Ikonifin and Ile-Ogo Asa – Iwo Oke.
Ayedire Local Government: Alaapo to Erina in Oluponna, Gaa Fulani Elewa – Railway Station – Iyana Ikire – Araagba – Gbanga Road and Kuta to Ikoyi Central Mosque.
In Ede North Local Government: Adejuwon – Laala Atakumosa West Boundary,vItesiwaju – Oluwatedo Community Road and Palmcrest – Ayope Road.
In Ede South Local Government: Sekona to Loogun Road, Sekona – Olodan Arola Road and Alajue Road
Also Egbedore Local Government: Ara – Ikotun – Iragberi – Iwoye.
And Ejigbo Local Government: Ijimoba Road – Isoko.
The grading project is part of Senator Oyewumi’s ongoing efforts to develop the infrastructure of the entire Osun West Senatorial District.
He has pledged to continue investing in projects that will attach direct benefit to the community and create more prosperous future for all.
Senator Oyewumi expressed gratitude for the confidence reposed in him by his people, assuring them that he would continue to prioritize projects that would have a direct impact on their lives.
