Successful Joint Operation Neutralises Terrorists and Destroys Enclave in Katsina
In a meticulously planned and coordinated effort, the Air Component of Operation Hadarin Daji, in collaboration with the 17 Brigade of the Nigerian Army, achieved a significant victory on January 30, 2024. The operation resulted in the elimination of numerous terrorists and the destruction of their stronghold situated on Tora Hills in Safana Local Government Area (LGA) of Katsina State.

The strategic location faced precision strikes from Nigerian Air Force (NAF) aircraft, setting the stage for ground troops to effectively clear the area of fleeing terrorists. Assessments, including Battle Damage Assessments and reports from various sources, confirmed that the air strikes played a crucial role in degrading the terrorists’ capabilities. This degradation, in turn, facilitated a seamless clearance operation conducted by the 17 Brigade of the Nigerian Army.
The success of the joint operation not only led to the neutralisation of terrorists and the obliteration of their hideouts on Tsora Hill but also allowed ground troops to ascend and clear the hill, eliminating it as a potential refuge for terrorists in Safana LGA.
