Teachers Recruitment: Osun NUT appreciates Gov Adeleke, Education Commissioner, PS

Recent recruitment of teachers by the Governor Ademola Adeleke’s led administration in Osun State has been described as a round peg in a round hole.
This was made known on Thursday by the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) Osun State Wing, Comrade Babalola Isaac Babatunde and Secretary, Comrade Akin Adeojo in their message of appreciation to Governor Adeleke and made available to newsmen in Osogbo.
The NUT who commended Governor Adeleke for the gesture noted that the appointment of teachers into the state primary and secondary schools was noteworthy.
The teachers union said the ripple effects of the recruitment were that it would address the problems of inadequate manpower in the education sector and promote teaching and learning.
According to the NUT statement, “Your Excellency Sir, your achievements in the education sector since assumption of office particularly, on the successful recruitment of teachers is a clear cut and a perfect reflection of your results-oriented style of leadership aimed at providing free, qualitative and quantitative education to the amiable citizens of Osun State. The gesture shall, without doubt, have a significant touch in our classroom and as well enhance educational service delivery to our school children”.
The NUT Osun said it was particularly glad that the teachers were recruited on merit.
“Kindly be assured of NUT’s undiluted support and unaltered teachers’ dedication to work as expected”.
Similarly, the Nigeria Union of Teachers, Osun State Wing appreciated the unalloyed support of the state Commissioner for Education, Hon Dipo Eluwole, and the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mr Jimoh Adekilekun to the entire teachers in Osun.
“Your contribution to the recruitment of teachers recently cannot be over emphasised as it will also add glamour to the teaching in the schools in Osun as a whole”, the message concluded.
