Three Flights Departing Nigeria Today for 2024 Hajj Airlift: NAHCON Chairman Ensures Smooth Operations

Today marks a significant day for pilgrims embarking on the sacred journey of Hajj to Saudi Arabia as three flights are scheduled to depart Nigeria. Air Peace is set to depart from Abuja International Airport at 11:30 am, carrying 310 FCT pilgrims and five officials. Max Air will follow suit, departing at 1:10 pm from the same airport with 550 Nasarawa pilgrims and 10 officials.

Additionally, Flynas, one of the selected carriers for the 2024 Hajj airlift, arrived in Nigeria and is scheduled to depart from Sir Ahmadu Bello International Airport (SABIA) in Birnin Kebbi between 12 PM to 1 PM.
The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) Chairman, Malam Jalal Ahmad Arabi, has been overseeing the preparations, ensuring smooth operations for the departure of these flights.
Earlier, Chairman Malam Jalal Ahmad Arabi inspected the Hajj transit camps in Abuja and Birnin Kebbi to assess the arrangements in place. He was accompanied by the Executive Secretaries of the State Pilgrims’ Boards, commending them for their diligent efforts.
As part of the ceremonies marking the beginning of the airlift, Vice President Sen. Kashim Shettima is expected to grace the inaugural flight ceremony at SABIA as the Special Guest of Honor. The NAHCON Chairman expressed satisfaction with the collaborative efforts of all parties involved in ensuring a successful start to the Hajj airlift.
In a dinner hosted by the Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, in honor of the NAHCON Chairman, both parties expressed appreciation for the inaugural flight taking place in Kebbi State for the first time. Governor Idris reiterated his commitment to supporting NAHCON and the pilgrims throughout their journey, even in Saudi Arabia during the Hajj.
The departure of these three flights signifies the commencement of the Hajj airlift, a pivotal moment for pilgrims and the Hajj Commission, as they embark on this spiritual journey.
