President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended his heartfelt congratulations to John Mahama on his swearing-in as Ghana’s president, pledging Nigeria’s unwavering support for the West African nation.

Mahama, who was inaugurated on Tuesday in Accra, has returned to office years after previously serving as Ghana’s leader. The event was attended by world leaders, including Tinubu, who spoke warmly of his friendship with Mahama and emphasized the bond between Nigeria and Ghana.

“President John Mahama and I share a deep friendship. My dear brother, I am here to work with you,” Tinubu said in his remarks as a special guest at the ceremony.

Reassuring Ghana of Nigeria’s backing, Tinubu added, “You know you can count on Nigeria’s support and goodwill whenever needed. We are your brothers and sisters. The bond is strong and cannot be broken.”

The inauguration marked a significant moment in Ghana’s political history, with Mahama’s return symbolizing continuity and collaboration in the region. Tinubu’s presence at the event highlighted Nigeria’s commitment to fostering strong ties within West Africa.
