Turkish Woman Claims Donald Trump Is Her Biological Father, Appeals Court Ruling

A 55-year-old woman from Ankara, Necla Özmen, has claimed that former U.S. President Donald Trump is her biological father, following the dismissal of a paternity lawsuit she filed in a Turkish court.

Özmen instituted the legal action in September 2025 at the Ankara 27th Family Court, requesting a DNA test to establish her biological lineage. She alleged that she was born in 1970 and raised by Satı and Dursun Özmen, whom she long believed to be her biological parents.

According to her account, her mother disclosed in 2017 that Özmen was adopted after Satı Özmen reportedly gave birth to a stillborn child. Özmen further claimed that her biological mother was a U.S. citizen identified as Sophia, who allegedly had a relationship with Donald Trump and later handed over her newborn to Satı Özmen.

The Ankara court dismissed the lawsuit, ruling that Özmen failed to present sufficient evidence to substantiate her claims or justify a court-ordered DNA test.

Unwilling to accept the decision, Özmen has appealed the ruling and has also submitted petitions to the U.S. Embassy in Turkey as well as courts in the United States, seeking assistance in obtaining a DNA test to determine her biological parentage.

There has been no official response from Donald Trump or his representatives regarding the claim. Legal experts note that paternity cases involving foreign nationals and high-profile figures face significant legal and jurisdictional hurdles, particularly in the absence of verifiable evidence.

The appeal process is ongoing, and the case has attracted public attention both in Turkey and internationally due to the prominence of the individual named in the claim.
