A viral video has surfaced online showing the moment UK police officers arrived at popular TikTok creator, Peller’s residence to search his room following complaints about loud noise during his livestream session.
The clip, which is currently trending across social media, captured Peller engaging with fans when a male and female police officer knocked repeatedly on his door, stating that neighbours had reported unusual loud behaviour coming from his apartment.
Upon entering, the officers inspected the room to confirm he was alone and not involved in a confrontation or shouting match with anyone.
When questioned about the apartment, Peller explained that:
- The flat belongs to his manager, who was not around at the moment.
- He was only in the UK for a show.
- He planned to return to Nigeria on the 24th of the month.
Online Reactions
The incident sparked mixed reactions among netizens, many of whom criticised Peller’s loud behaviour, saying it could have led to a more serious issue.
@khykheloormuur:
“I thought this guy talks like this just for content. No wonder Olamide said he should go back to school. ‘How old are me keh?’”
@iOccupyNigeria:
“Make I explain am well. For UK, once you allow police enter your apartment without warrant, you don open gate finish. I no dey talk say dem go plant anything, but dem fit claim say dem find something and your case don end.
Young Nigerian entertainers abroad need orientation. Consent is power. UK police no fit enter without permission unless there’s a warrant or danger. Peller fall hand.”
This is not the first time conversations around conduct and public behaviour have trailed Nigerian influencers abroad. Many netizens have now urged Peller and other young entertainers to understand UK laws on consent, search, and noise control, so they don’t unknowingly get themselves into trouble.
