Yobe Scholar Sponsors Nursing Council Exams for 20 Female Nurses Across State

A Yobe State scholarship beneficiary and alumna of the Nigerian Tulip International Colleges, Rabiatu Adamu Saleh, has sponsored the Nursing and Midwifery Council examination fees for 20 female nurses drawn from the 17 local government areas of Yobe State.

Rabiatu, who benefitted from the Yobe State scholarship scheme from her secondary school education at NTIC through her PhD studies at Nile University of Nigeria, said the initiative was her way of giving back to society and appreciating the support she received from the state government throughout her academic journey.

According to her, the sponsorship specifically targets female candidates as part of efforts to promote gender equity and expand educational opportunities for women in the state.

She noted that many young women face barriers in accessing academic and professional opportunities despite their potential to contribute meaningfully to society.

Rabiatu expressed confidence that empowering women through education and professional certification would strengthen communities and improve healthcare delivery across the state.

She also stated that women bring unique perspectives and problem-solving abilities that can positively impact society when given the right opportunities and support.

The gesture has been widely commended as an example of community service and a reflection of the long-term impact of educational investment and scholarship programmes in empowering future leaders.
