YouTube Star MrBeast Marries Longtime Partner Thea Booysen in Private Island Ceremony

Global YouTube sensation Jimmy Donaldson, popularly known as MrBeast, has married his longtime partner and fellow content creator, Thea Booysen, during an intimate wedding celebration on Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands.

The week-long celebration began on July 14, 2026, with about 70 close friends and family members attending the private event hosted on the luxury island owned by British entrepreneur Richard Branson.

Sharing the milestone with millions of followers on Instagram, Donaldson wrote: “I found MrsBeast and it was the best day of my life,” marking one of the rare occasions he publicly shared a deeply personal moment outside his regular YouTube productions.

For the ceremony, MrBeast wore a classic black-and-white Ralph Lauren tuxedo, while Booysen appeared in a custom floral lace wedding gown designed by Nicole + Felicia Couture.

Ahead of the ceremony, guests participated in several outdoor activities, including snorkeling, kitesurfing and exploring the island’s wildlife. The private wedding was officiated by a close family friend.

The reception featured an elegant dinner with sushi, Wagyu beef and a custom carrot cake before celebrations continued with board games and card games in a relaxed setting. The couple also shared their first dance to “Die With a Smile” by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars.

MrBeast and Booysen first met in 2022 during Donaldson’s visit to South Africa. Their friendship grew through shared interests in gaming, science and literature before developing into a long-distance relationship. Booysen later relocated to the United States, and the couple announced their engagement after Donaldson proposed during a private family gathering on Christmas Day 2024.

Unlike the large-scale challenges and extravagant productions that have made MrBeast the world’s most-subscribed YouTube creator, the couple deliberately chose to keep both their engagement and wedding private, focusing on celebrating the occasion with family and close friends.
