2023: Governor Yahaya Spits Fire Warn Groups, Individuals Against Fomenting Crisis in Gombe
As he vowed to deal with trouble makers
….warn youths, traditional rulers to stay away from politicians
Ahead of the 2023 general election, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has warned political actors in the state not to be involved in acts capable of undermining the security of the state nor indulge in acts capable of fomenting violence in Gombe.
The governor stated this during a courtesy visit to him by the Chairman, Council members and Stakeholders from Akko Local Government Area (LGA) on Tuesday in Gombe.

The Governor reiterated his resolve not to sit idly by and watch criminal elements in the name of politics wreak violence on the people of the state and disrupt the relative peace enjoyed by the people.

In addition, he vowed that he would deal decisively with any group, individual fomenting trouble in the state irrespective of the positions such persons or group are holding
“No senator is bigger than the governor, I will not allow such if you allowed Kalare boy (thugs) to roam free during your time, this is my time, I will not allow that”. Governor Yahaya said.
He further charged the youths to be mindful of their association with politicians so that they would not be lured into violence and acts inimical to the development of the state as well as their well-being.
He urged youths in the state to be cautious in dealing with politicians whose goal is to destroy them and destroy the state.
Overall, he called on the people of Akko in Gombe State to embrace peace and live with one another as brothers and sisters irrespective of their tribes and religious affiliations.
Yahaya further charged traditional rulers to keep off politics while providing succour for the people of their domain while stressing the importance of peace as what is needed for development.
“Whatever successes we have recorded so far is in line with our campaign promises, and we shall continue on this path of repositioning the State, but this cannot be achieved without peace,” the Governor said.
He added saying, warning that the law is blind and will catch up with anyone no matter how highly placed they are. as his administration will not condone any act of lawlessness.
Responding, the Emir of Akko Alhaji Umar Muhammad Atiku, explained that the visit was to say thank you and to appreciate the state government for approving the reconstruction of the general hospital in Kumo, the headquarters of Akko LGA.

The traditional ruler further explained that the people of Akko are more than grateful for the gesture which according to him has a high impact on their lives.
