“There is no division in Accord” – Osun Chairman, Akande

By Richard Akintade, Osogbo

The Accord Chairman in Osun State, Pastor Victor Akande on Monday reaffirmed that the party remains united under one umbrella, insisting there is no division at any level of its leadership.

Akande while featuring on a Personality Interview Programme, Tagged: “The Dialogue” organized by the Impact Digital Television, IDTV, Ogo-Oluwa in Osogbo capital of Osun State, said all is well with the party in across Osun state.

According to Akande, “I can say anywhere that Accord is the most peaceful, stable, united, progressive and fastest-growing political party not only in Osun State but in Nigeria today.

“Accord has no faction at any levels of leadership as the party remains focused and unwavering in its commitment to democratic values, ethics, ideology, and internal democracy and will not be distracted by the antics of anti-democratic and reactionary forces seeking cheap publicity and stomach infrastructure for personal aggrandizement”.

While speaking on Governor Ademola Adeleke’s emergence as the party’s governorship candidate in Osun, Akande emphasised that, Governor Adeleke emerged through a duly conducted primary election monitored by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), noting that the process was transparent and widely covered by the media.

The Osun Accord Chairman called on the residents of Osun State to demonstrate their unalloyed support to Governor Ademola Adeleke’s re-election bid for him to continue the good work for the entire state.

“What Governor Adeleke has done in terms of infrastructure, health and education sectors as well as better life for rural dwellers, empowerment, payment of salaries and pensions, free health care services for both the pensioners among others cannot be over emphasised and that is why people continue loving him.

“I am using this medium as well to appeal to you to start to be working for August 15th Governorship election as winning of the election by Governor Adeleke should be the priority for all and sundry, Mr Governor has worked for it as he promised the people and fulfilled the promises.

“Similarly, I am appealing to you all not to foment trouble and eschew anything that may lead to political violence before, during, and after the election as election should not be do or die affairs.

“With God all things are possible, definitely our amiable Governor Adeleke will win the August 15th Governorship election by the Grace of the Almighty God as our chance is brighter”.
