2027: BW Movement mobilises support for Tinubu, Wunti in Bauchi

A political support group operating under the auspices of the Bala Wunti Movement (BW Movement) in Bauchi State has declared its support for President Bola Tinubu’s second term bid ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The Coordinator of the group, Alhaji Yahaya Miya, made the declaration on Tuesday during a Bauchi South town hall meeting held in Bauchi.

He said the movement was committed to mobilising grassroots support for the President while also advancing the gubernatorial ambition of Bala Maijama’a Wunti in the state.
The meeting brought together various support groups aligned with Wunti’s political aspirations under a unified platform, with the aim of strengthening coordination and strategy ahead of the elections.
Participants discussed ways to consolidate their structure and expand outreach across communities in Bauchi South and beyond.
Miya urged members of the movement to remain focused, united, and inclusive in their mobilisation efforts, stressing the need to carry all stakeholders along to ensure victory at all levels in 2027.
Also speaking, the Zonal Chairman of Bauchi South, Mr Mohammed Sadiq, called on supporters to register as members of the group and obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), describing them as critical tools for electoral success.
“The PVC remains the most important instrument for participating in the democratic process and securing victory at the polls,” he said.
In his remarks, the Guest of Honour, Mr Isa Matori, advised supporters to give maximum backing to Bala Wunti, whom he described as a progressive and development-oriented leader.
Matori further portrayed Wunti as a courageous and honest figure, expressing confidence in his ability to reposition Bauchi State if elected.
