2027: Senator Oyewumi promises good representation as he appreciates Gov Adeleke, Accord family, constituents

For the confidence, trust, and belief that people have continued to place in him, the Deputy Minority Leader of the Senate, Senator Lere Oyewumi, has assured everyone who have stood by him that he will continue to work diligently, uphold the people’s trust, and never let them down, adding that, “Together, we will continue to build a stronger party and a more prosperous future for the people”.
Senator Oyewumi, celebrated his electoral success by deeply appreciating his family for their unwavering support, his leader, Governor Ademola Adeleke (Imole), members of his political family, party leaders, stakeholders, supporters, and all Accord members across Osun West Senatorial District for his re-election.
According to Senator Oyewumi in his “Acceptance and Appreciation Message” issued and made available to newsmen, “On the 29th of May, 2026, I was once again honoured with the mandate of the Accord in Osun West Senatorial District to represent our great party in the January 2027 General Election and to contest for the privilege of representing the good people of Osun West at the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“This nomination is not just a personal achievement; it is a collective responsibility and a call to greater service as I accept this responsibility with humility and a deep sense of duty, knowing that the task ahead is to provide effective, responsive, and people-oriented representation for the people of Osun West at the Senate of Nigeria.
“I also extend my heartfelt appreciation to the Senatorial Chairman Hon Adesoye Oyetunde and members of the Senatorial Executive Council, the Chairmen and Chairpersons of all ten Local Government Areas in Osun West, all Local Government Party Chairmen, Councillors, Ward Chairmen, youth leaders, women leaders, delegates, and the entire party structure across the district for their steadfast support and commitment to the growth and success of our great party.
“The process was peaceful, transparent, and credible, conducted in the full presence of INEC officials and security operatives, further strengthening confidence in the integrity of the exercise. This development has made leadership of the party to commends the conduct of the primary as a clear demonstration of unity, discipline, and cohesion within the Accord Party structure across Osun West Senatorial District.
