The throwback video, which has been widely shared across multiple platforms, captures Regina responding to a difficult hypothetical question during a media interview: If both her husband and her biological father needed a kidney to survive, who would she save?

At the time of the interview, Regina and Nwoko’s marriage appeared stable. The couple shared two sons and frequently portrayed a united family front. However, their relationship later imploded in 2025 following an explosive public fallout. Regina accused Nwoko of domestic abuse, while the senator countered with claims that she battled drug and alcohol dependence — allegations she strongly denied.
In the resurfaced clip, Regina explained that she would choose to give her kidney to the father of her children, despite the emotional pain the decision would bring.
“I would prefer to give the father of my children the kidney so that my children can have a future with their dad,” she said, adding that she would endure the grief of losing her own father to prevent her children from growing up without theirs.
The interviewer later pushed the conversation further, asking her to choose between her husband and her mother. This time, Regina answered without hesitation.
She chose her mother.
“A mother’s love outweighs everything,” she said, emphasizing that no bond compares to the one she shares with her mother.
