American Space Abuja welcomes Kids for The Legend of Buratai Volume 2

The FCT Education Resource Centre in collaboration with American Space Abuja organized a summer holiday literacy program for kids around the FCT. Children gathered in their numbers at the City Library, Abuja, where the very innovative American Space is situated.

There were lots of educative and fun activities: spelling bee, reading competition, questions and answers sessions as well as presentation of gifts to the kids that performed well in each of the competitions.

With each having a copy in their hands, some sections of the book The Legend of Buratai Volume 2 was read by Mr Moses Uyang to an intensely listening audience of children, their parents/guardians as well as staff of both the FCT Education Resource Centre and American Space.

The excitement of the kids was on a high as they carefully guarded their copies of the book while they played and interacted with each other after the end of the event.

Hajiya Neemat Abdulrahim, Director, FCT Education Resource Centre, graciously entertained the kids and all those present as she engaged everyone in a fun exercise that put smiles on all their faces. She went on to promise an even interesting summer literary program come next year, 2022.

While making his closing remarks, the Head of the City Library, Mr Lawrence Akumuo, thanked all participants and encouraged the kids to remain focused and determined for success.
