The meeting focused on reviewing the prevailing security architecture in the region and developing coordinated strategies to address emerging threats. The Minister emphasized the urgent need to strengthen military operations, enhance intelligence sharing between federal and state authorities, deepen inter-agency collaboration, and deploy additional security assets to vulnerable and high-risk communities.
General Musa reaffirmed the Armed Forces’ commitment to their constitutional responsibility to defend Nigeria and protect lives and property, noting that security agencies would intensify operations and recalibrate strategies where necessary to decisively confront threats in line with the law.
He said the engagement reflects a shared determination among political leaders, security agencies, and stakeholders to tackle insecurity head-on and restore lasting peace, stability, and security across the North-East and the country at large.
