IGP Disu Hosts UAE Ambassador, Seeks Stronger Security Collaboration
The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, on Tuesday received the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Nigeria, Salem Saeed Al-Shamsi, during a courtesy visit at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
During the meeting, the ambassador congratulated the IGP on his appointment and reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation with the Nigeria Police Force. He highlighted key areas of partnership, including security collaboration and capacity development.
In his response, IGP Disu expressed appreciation for the visit and goodwill, noting that partnerships with international allies remain critical to enhancing policing standards and improving public safety in Nigeria.
He stressed the importance of sustained cooperation in building institutional capacity, tackling emerging security challenges, and fostering stronger global ties in law enforcement.
