Ambassador Tuggar emphasised the necessity of collaboration between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN). “Collaboration between our organisations is critical, in light of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda’s foreign policy doctrine, which prioritises strategic pillars of Democracy, Development, Demography, and Diaspora,” he said, highlighting the importance of cooperation between diplomatic and military channels in fostering regional stability and security.

Acknowledging the Minister’s pragmatic foreign policy directives, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, the CDS, expressed the Armed Forces’ readiness to partner with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in fulfilling its mandate as the nation’s outward-facing entity.

“I want to assure you, sir, of the AFN’s unwavering commitment to ensuring the security of lives and property not only within Nigeria but also across the Lake Chad region and the broader West African subregion,” the CDS affirmed.
