Reports indicate that Arsenal are “close to finalising terms” for the Argentine forward, with sporting director Andrea Berta—who previously worked with Álvarez—playing a key role in the negotiations. The World Cup winner is also attracting interest from FC Barcelona, but Arsenal are believed to have an advantage due to stronger financial and sporting assurances.
