Badaru Attends Crucial Security Meeting

In a proactive response to the pressing issue of insecurity in Northern Nigeria, the Honourable Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar CON, mni, actively participated in a significant 2-day Roundtable Meeting organised by the Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG). The event commenced on January 24, 2024, and concluded on January 25, 2024, at the prestigious Nigerian Army Resource Centre in Abuja.

This gathering marks a collective effort to address the complex challenges posed by insecurity in the region. The participation of high-ranking officials, including the Minister, highlights the government’s dedication to fostering collaboration and seeking comprehensive solutions for ensuring the safety and stability of Northern Nigeria.
Chaired by General Abdussalami Abubakar CGFR, the event was graced by distinguished personalities such as His Eminence Sultan of Sokoto, Dr. Sa’adu Abubakar; Executive Governors of Gombe, Kaduna, Nasarawa, Katsina, Zamfara, Bauchi; Defence Minister of state, Dr. Muhammed Bello Matawalle MON, among others.
The gravity of the situation calls for a united front, and gatherings like these contribute to establishing a framework for sustained cooperation in the ongoing efforts to enhance security and protect the well-being of the Northern Nigerian population.
