Nigeria and the European Union have reaffirmed their longstanding partnership anchored on political dialogue, development cooperation, and expanding economic ties.

This followed a high-level meeting between Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, and the Vice President of the European Commission and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Kaja Kallas.

The engagement focused on advancing discussions aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation and deepening engagement across key areas of mutual interest.

Both sides explored opportunities to expand economic collaboration, reinforce their strategic partnership, and align on shared priorities within an evolving global landscape.
