Nigeria’s Ambassador to China Explores Beijing’s Shougang Park to Strengthen Cultural, Economic Ties

Nigeria’s Ambassador to China, Lt. Gen. Ambassador Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau (Rtd.), CFR, PhD, has visited Beijing’s Shougang Park and Yongding River Market as part of his engagement with China’s cultural, urban and economic environment.

The visit provided an opportunity for the Nigerian envoy to explore aspects of Beijing’s changing urban landscape, where cultural attractions, public spaces and commercial activities contribute to tourism and economic development.

The engagement also offered insights into China’s approach to urban development, cultural exchange and the use of public spaces to promote tourism and commercial activities.

For Nigeria, such engagements provide opportunities to exchange ideas and explore practices that could inform discussions on sustainable urban development, tourism and investment.

They also support efforts to strengthen people-to-people relations and deepen cooperation between Nigeria and China.

The visit reflects the importance of engagements beyond formal diplomacy in identifying opportunities for cultural exchange, economic collaboration and shared development between the two countries.
