DEPOWA President Distributes Palliatives at Durumi IDP Camp

The President of the Defence and Police Officers’ Wives Association (DEPOWA), Mrs. Oghogho Musa, visited the Durumi Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp in Abuja to distribute palliatives.

Speaking at the event, Mrs. Musa emphasised the importance of showing love and reaching out to the community during the month of February. She highlighted the plight of IDPs and described their displacement as a reminder of the devastating effects of conflict.

The DEPOWA President stated that her organisation’s mission extends beyond providing aid to restoring dignity, offering comfort, and instilling hope in those who have lost everything. She expressed gratitude to the mother of the nation, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for her “Renewed Hope Initiative” dedicated to empowering women and children.

Mrs. Musa expressed her commitment to supporting the welfare of IDP families and emphasised that DEPOWA will continue to provide assistance to alleviate their suffering.

The event was attended by dignitaries including the Chief of Defence Civil Military Relations, Rear Admiral Ibrahim Dewu, DEPOWA members, and the Chairman of the IDP Camp, Mr. Ibrahim Ahmudu.
