The Kano Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested Kannywood actress Samha Inuwa over alleged mutilation of the Naira.

Inuwa was arrested on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, following a viral video circulated across social media platforms in which she was seen allegedly using Naira notes to clean mucus from her nose.
According to the Commission, the arrest followed swift investigations after the video gained public attention. EFCC operatives traced and apprehended the actress to enable her respond to questions regarding the incident.
She is currently in custody at the EFCC detention facility in Kano, while investigations are ongoing.
The Commission disclosed that the suspect will be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations.
