EFCC deepens clampdown on Tinubu, seals properties

It is no longer news that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has deepened its probe into the national leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the person of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Commission had reportedly written a letter to the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB), requesting copies of Tinubu’s asset declaration form.

A copy of the letter which was published by online news channels revealed that the investigation into Tinubu began last year after the removal of erstwhile Chairman of the antigraft agency, Ibrahim Magu.

The letter marked CR/3000/EFCC/LS/Vol4/322, and dated November 6, 2020 was signed by the then Lagos zonal head and now the new EFCC boss, Abdulrasheed Bawa.

New findings allegedly reveal that the development has led the EFCC to take further steps by sealing some landed properties linked to Tinubu.
