FG Ready to Partner Investors to Tackle Housing Deficit, Says Housing Minister

The Minister of Housing, Engr. Muttaqha Rabe Darma, has reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to partnering with credible investors to address Nigeria’s housing deficit through large-scale housing development across the country.

The minister said the government is prepared to provide suitable land in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) as well as in states and local government areas to facilitate the successful implementation of mass housing projects.

According to him, the Ministry remains committed to creating an enabling environment for private sector participation by ensuring easier access to land and supporting initiatives that will accelerate housing delivery nationwide.

Engr. Darma noted that strategic collaboration with reputable investors is critical to expanding affordable housing, stimulating economic growth and improving access to decent accommodation for Nigerians.

He assured prospective investors of the Ministry’s readiness to work closely with them to remove bottlenecks, facilitate project implementation and promote sustainable housing development across the country.

The minister added that the initiative aligns with the Federal Government’s broader efforts to reduce the nation’s housing deficit while boosting investment in the housing sector through public-private partnerships.
