Grieving Mother Recounts Mysterious Death of 24-Year-Old Daughter After Encounter With Friend, Stranger

A heartbroken mother has told the distressing story of how her 24-year-old daughter died suddenly under mysterious circumstances—just hours after an unsettling encounter involving a longtime friend and an unknown man in a car.

According to the mother, the incident occurred about two weeks ago when her daughter received a visit from a female friend who had recently returned from the city. After chatting for nearly 40 minutes, the friend asked her to escort her to the main road. The young woman agreed, unaware it would be her final day alive.

While the two walked, a man in a large vehicle pulled over and beckoned the daughter. She hesitated and refused, but her friend urged her to “go and hear what he wants.” The man reportedly asked for her phone number, and upon learning she didn’t own a phone, offered to buy her one—insisting she enter his car. She declined repeatedly.

The mother said the friend then began mocking her daughter for refusing the man’s advances. The man eventually stepped out of the vehicle and handed the young woman money to purchase a phone. Shockingly, the girl immediately turned to her friend and said, “Since you want it so much, you take it,” handing over the cash. The friend accepted the money and entered the man’s car.

The daughter returned home visibly shaken and narrated the entire incident to her mother and aunt. They praised her for her restraint and cautioned her about the dangers of such friendships.

Later that night, the household was jolted awake by a loud noise from the young woman’s room. Rushing in, they found her bleeding and battling for her life. The mother recounted that her daughter kept crying about a nightmare, whispering: “Mama, I’m leaving… the money… the money…” while repeatedly calling the name of the same friend who had visited earlier.

Within minutes, she died in her mother’s arms.

Devastated and searching for answers, the family believes the “cursed money”—even though she never kept it—may have played a role in her sudden and unexplained death. The mother added that since the tragic event, the friend has not reached out or visited the family.

The young woman was buried two weeks ago, but the family says they remain in deep shock, struggling to understand the circumstances that led to her passing.

The distraught mother is now urging young women to be wary of the company they keep and to stay vigilant against hidden dangers disguised as generosity from strangers.
