IGP Disu Presents ₦11.4m Insurance Benefits to Families of Deceased Police Officers
The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has presented cheques totalling ₦11,400,252.35 to 18 beneficiaries and next-of-kin of deceased police officers under the Group Life Assurance (GLA) and Group Personal Accident (GPA) Insurance Schemes.
The cheques were presented on behalf of the IGP by the Commissioner of Police, Kebbi State Command, CP Umar Hadejia, according to a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bashir Usman.
The Commissioner reaffirmed the commitment of the IGP and the Force Management Team to the welfare of serving police officers and their families, as well as the families of deceased personnel.
Hadejia said the contributions and sacrifices of the deceased officers to the nation remained appreciated, adding that the insurance benefits would provide meaningful financial support to their families.
The beneficiaries expressed appreciation to the IGP, the Force Management Team and the Commissioner of Police for the gesture, describing it as a demonstration of the Nigeria Police Force’s continued concern for the welfare of families of deceased personnel.
