Insecurity: Group seek gov’t support for security agents in Taraba

Taraba residents want the state government and its security agents to put more effort into the search and ensure the safe-release of youths in the Kidnappers Empire in the state.
Speaking with Our Nigeria News interview the residents in Takum Local Government Area (LGA) of the State called on the state government to do more in securing the state.
The duo of Mr. Jeremiah Moses, Muhammed Sani and Muhammad Chanchanji stressed that there is a need for the state government to provide more assistance to the security agents to encourage searching and fetching out of the kidnappers and their hideouts and to rescue the remaining four out of the youths that were kidnapped in the area.
However, the group commended the government as well as security agents in the area for the initiative that led to the rescuing many among the kidnapping victims.
They confirmed that the area have been enjoying relative peace following the enforcement of the ban of motorcycle in some parts of the LGA by the government.
“We really thanked God and appreciate the state government because since when the government banned the use of motorcycle, the area is now very peaceful and there was no any attack and the Special Taskforce are doing well”.
According to the spokesman of the state police command, ASP Meha Reform, agents are on the trail of the kidnappers to ensure the released of the remaining 4 out of the 23 youths abducted in the area.
He satte that 19 out of the 23 youths that were kidnapped have regained freedom and had been reunited with their families.
However, the PPRO called on the people of the state to be security-conscious and to always assist the security agents with useful information that will help in curtailing crimes and criminality in the state.
